Separation of Alkaloids Quinine, Strychinine, Brucine and Berberine

Analytical or semi-preparative separation of alkaloids, strongly basic compounds, are usually performed by reversed phase column chromatography using ODS or sephadex resins. CPC was shown to be an effective method for scaled-up separation of alkaloids with high productivity.
